Occupational Health and Safety Department provides services to the private and public sectors in the light of up-to-date technology and information regarding occupational accidents that may occur in working life and occupational diseases that may occur; was established to train competent and expert personnel. With the Law No. 6331 on Occupational Health and Safety, the employment of personnel related to occupational health and safety (occupational safety specialist, occupational physician, etc.) in the private and public sectors has been made compulsory and this has increased the demand for the profession.

Our department, which started its activities at the undergraduate level in the 2018-2019 academic year at our university; Our mission is to train students who are well-versed in laws and regulations, care about professional ethics, have advanced skills in taking occupational health and safety measures, follow technical and technological developments, adopt and spread the culture of occupational health and safety, and intervene in events with a proactive approach.

In the Department of Occupational Health and Safety, it allows students to learn general culture, to do social activities related to the field (occupational health and safety I-II, occupational health and safety legislation I-II, emergency and disaster management, etc.). wood carving etc.) and applied courses (summer internship) where students can integrate their theoretical knowledge into practice. The duration of the program is 4 years. The total credits of the department are 158 and the total ECTS is 240. VII. There is a summer internship at the end of the semester. Our department, which has a vision to contribute to the spread of occupational health and safety culture and to make it better quality; 1 Assoc. Dr, 3Dr. Faculty Member, 2 Res. See. continues its education and training activities with a total of 6 instructors. Our students who graduated from the Department of Occupational Health and Safety; can work in the ministry of labor and social security, occupational health and safety center directorates, health institutions, ministries, construction sector, chemical industry, mining and construction works.
