The Department of Occupational Health and Safety is supported both theoretically and practically with contemporary educational methods suitable for today's conditions, enabling our students to graduate with sufficient experience in the field.
The Department of Occupational Health and Safety was established to train competent personnel specialized in the field, equipped with up-to-date technology and knowledge about risks, work accidents, and occupational diseases that may arise in working life, for both the private and public sectors. In this way, our students find broad employment opportunities, especially in the private sector.
Graduates who successfully complete the program are awarded a bachelor's degree in "Occupational Health and Safety." After graduation, they can take the “Class C Occupational Safety Expert” exam conducted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
The exams at Muş Alparslan University are conducted in accordance with the Muş Alparslan University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations, aligned with the student workload as per the Bologna process.
Our aim is to train individuals who are knowledgeable about legal regulations concerning occupational health and safety, value professional ethics, are capable of conducting risk assessments during any danger or accident, and can manage the process effectively.
Graduates of the Occupational Health and Safety Undergraduate Program will actively take roles in ensuring that workers perform their jobs in a healthy and safe manner in the field of Occupational Health and Safety.
The Occupational Health and Safety Law covers all jobs and workplaces in the public and private sectors, including all employees, apprentices, and interns.
According to the law, it is mandatory to employ an occupational safety expert in workplaces considered industrial, where at least 50 people work continuously for more than six months.
There has been a growing need for human resources in occupational health and safety across all sectors, and this need is expected to continue increasing.
For small businesses with fewer than 50 employees, there is a legal requirement to outsource occupational health and safety consultancy services.
Graduates can work in all businesses, factories, production areas, public institutions, municipalities, military facilities, banks, hotels, other tourism establishments, and small businesses, essentially in any workplace where human labor and employment are present.
